Job Description We're looking for a mid-level (4 years) Data Engineer four our client, a Series D start-up in Los Angeles, with enormous growth potential. The position is fully remote but is best fit for someone who is open to traveling at least 10% of the time.
Their main mission is to empower Creators by allowing them to receive cash for their catalogs through licensing their existing videos (and/or future video uploads) and receiving a payout instantly. Creators then use the funds to fuel their growth through hiring resources, investing, or anyway they choose all while remaining independent. In addition to funding, our client provides Creators with in-depth data insights into the performance of all existing content to further help educate the Creator on the value of their library, the value of future uploads and how they can improve performance in the future.
You will primarily be working with a stack of Python, PostgresSQL, PostGIS, in addition to microservices architecture. As a part of the product team, you will have direct input into the industry space of media/fin-tech. You will partake in using Python to develop microservices architecture and a fleshed-out workflow to build and gather datasets, build classifiers, and evaluate them. Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering
- Exp. building out highly scalable systems
- Exp. in developing messaging and microservices systems
- Experience in SQL & SQL Databases
- Application development frame (Python)
- Exp. working with Software Development Kits and Web Services
- Exp. working with Kubernetes
