About the Role
Are you passionate about cars? Do you enjoy applying Artificial Intelligence technologies to solve complex problems? Are you motivated to create AI-enabled products for the automotive domain? HARMAN is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Automotive Artificial Intelligence Lab to develop AI-enabled augmented reality products.
As Machine Learning Engineer you will work on creating products based on AI-driven affective computing and personalization. You will collaborate with highly talented AI and automotive experts in geographically distributed teams to build scalable, reliable, production-grade AI solutions for in-vehicle and cloud systems.
What You Will Do
Develop AI solutions for personalized multi-modal augmented reality displays
Work in a team of AI and automotive domain subject matter experts from concept creation to product delivery
Develop continual learning models for adaptive personalization solutions based on behavioral, contextual, and vehicle data
Design and develop machine learning models optimized for embedded systems
Transform data science prototypes to production quality machine learning models
Optimize and maintain machine learning models for meeting product KPIs
What You Need
Bachelors in computer science, data science, mathematics, physics, or relevant technical or scientific field, with 12 years overall work-related experience.
5+ years of related engineering experience with a minimum of 3 years in artificial intelligence, data science, and big data technologies.
Experience developing AI solutions for affective computing or personalized adaptive products
Experience in: Conceptualizing, architecting, and developing production-grade AI and machine learning applications, Deploying AI solutions on embedded systems enabled with GPU and NPU, Production-level experience in cloud machine-learning platforms like SageMaker, DataBricks, Using and working with Agile-based principles, and tools.
Skills: Machine Learning and Deep Learning Frameworks like sci-kit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Programming Languages: Python, C++
What is Nice to Have
Experience in automotive electronics project development
Experience with AR HuD technology and UI solutions
Well-founded knowledge in further automotive electronics domains (e.g. Cockpit, Driver Monitoring)
Good understanding of location-based services
Understanding of Driver Monitoring and Affective Computing
What Makes You Eligible
Be willing to travel up to 10%, of domestic and international travel
Be willing to work in an office or home office in Novi, Michigan.
