Data Engineer

PHSO has embarked on an ambitious three-year strategy to become a data-driven organisation. The data engineer role is a crucial role to deliver on our vision. This is an opportunity to join an expanding data team as we embark on a digital transformation journey. PHSO has an ambitious data strategy that will see us modernise the way we collect and leverage data. Our aim is to utilise data to drive service improvements which benefit the public and the organisations we investigate.

The Data Engineer Will Be Responsible For

• Data discovery and integration – Identifying valuable data within structured and unstructured datasets, identifying relationships between disparate data sources, and providing secure access mechanisms.
• Data development - Designing, developing, and maintaining data products including, ADF pipelines, ETL warehouse and analytic data models.
• Data Analysis and Synthesis – Develop analytical tools that convert raw data into actionable insights for our stakeholders.
• Data innovation – Identify opportunities and deliver new processes using data to drive technical/operational improvements.
