Responsibilities/Duties

Perform advanced statistical analysis, quantitative analytical forecasting/predictive analytics, multivariant testing and optimization to improve our property sales rate and asset recommendation. Ability to understand business problems and needs and turn that into data analysis or mining projects that can guide teams to better discover strategic opportunities and solutions.

Design and build statistical learning models for data analysis in real estate properties, property transactions, buyers, visitors and our marketplace.

Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis.

Build and automate data processing pipelines in AWS big data platform. Trailblaze and evangelize data driven approaches across organizations. Apply data analysis, data mining and data engineering to present data clearly and develop experiments (A/B testing) Work with development teams to build tools for data logging and repeatable data tasks that will accelerate and automate data scientist duties. Assist senior management in making key business decisions. Guide and mentor junior data engineers.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstratable mastering of big data technology for data ingestion, analysis, modeling and interpretation.

Verifiable data modeling and machine learning skills and the applications to address business needs.

Substantial experience in analyzing online user behavior to generate insights about user experience, business opportunities and product solutions. Proficient in data accessing (e.g. SQL), manipulating and extracting data (e.g. Python)

Education/Experience

5+ years of experience working with large data sets or do large scale quantitative analysis

10+ years of data managing related experience.

Masters or Doctorate degree in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics computer science physics engineering econometrics etc.); must have some academic and theoretical experience in Statistics.

Extensive experience in self-driven data analysis and data product development Hands-on experience in AWS or other commercial tools for machine learning, data modeling, real time data streaming, aggregation and presentation Strong domain knowledge in AWS SageMaker or equivalent Working experience with production ETL pipeline development preferably AWS Minimum one years’ experience with AWS cloud Experimentation design or A/B testing experience is preferred
