We are seeking a Data Engineer to help build, connect, and maintain data integrations with our customers and partners to power our platform and empower our users. This is a very hands-on role that requires a triple threat of skills: engineering, data wrangling, and good old-fashioned customer charm for engaging both technical and clinical staff at hospitals. Responsibilities:
Manage, write, and maintain hospital data ingestion queries and configuration in our custom system
Collaborate with fellow engineers on continually improving the data ingestion pipeline for performance, scale, and reliability
Work closely with hospital stakeholders and partners to obtain necessary data extracts and ensure timely integrations
Manage data warehouse fidelity, ensuring stakeholders trust the data and understand both its opportunities and limitations
Ensure client data feeds remain operational and error-free
Maintain the Hospital IQ data specification and customer-specific glossaries
Assist sales team with pre-sales technical requirements and phased onboarding plans
Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years SQL expertise
Experience with Python or similar programming language
Ability to perform data analysis using tools such as Excel or Stata
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated interest or experience in healthcare industry
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of hospital data protocols such as HL7 and FHIR
Experience with ETL, building or maintaining data ingestion pipelines
Clinical or direct patient care experience a plus
