Data Engineer

The Engineering team has a remote-first culture and is passionate about making the world, and each other, better. We are seeking a Data Engineer to help build, connect, and maintain data integrations with our customers and partners to power our platform and empower our users. This is a very hands-on role that requires a triple threat of skills: engineering, data wrangling, and good old-fashioned customer charm for engaging both technical and clinical staff at hospitals. Responsibilities:

• Manage, write, and maintain hospital data ingestion queries and configuration in our custom system
• Collaborate with fellow engineers on continually improving the data ingestion pipeline for performance, scale, and reliability
• Work closely with hospital stakeholders and partners to obtain necessary data extracts and ensure timely integrations
• Manage data warehouse fidelity, ensuring stakeholders trust the data and understand both its opportunities and limitations
• Ensure client data feeds remain operational and error-free
• Maintain the Hospital IQ data specification and customer-specific glossaries
• Assist sales team with pre-sales technical requirements and phased onboarding plans

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2+ years SQL expertise
• Experience with Python or similar programming language
• Ability to perform data analysis using tools such as Excel or Stata
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated interest or experience in healthcare industry

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of hospital data protocols such as HL7 and FHIR
• Experience with ETL, building or maintaining data ingestion pipelines
• Clinical or direct patient care experience a plus
