Machine Learning Engineer (AI - Lead)

About the Company:
Our client, a Fintech investment manager focused on providing financial services with investment research data, providing recommendations and solutions using Fintech to identify market trends to determine valid investment options.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure all configurations necessary for maintenance/installation of application systems are effective with valid functionality
• Assess applications systems to determine whether additional fine-tunes is needed to achieve optimum performance levels collaborating with hardware teams in resolving hardware/software issues
• Track & Monitor department’s knowledge database including enterprise issues & possible resolutions
• Design and Build application systems used to develop models for tasking problem domain (to keep a record of potential risks)
• Using models extrapolated from data to evaluate best methodology for resolving key issues with initiative
• Implement machine learning using; NLP, deep learning methods to organize unstructured data sets & complex systems for efficient processing
• Develop & execute new algorithms from prior machine learning experience, from experimentation into developing large scale solutions for production
• Conducting necessary research to identify best process to resolve issues, whilst preparing report & studies on aspects such as; acquisition, modelling, management, presentation
• Ensure initiative compliance by maintaining definition, documentation, training, testing & activation of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning
• Maintain a detailed list of operating system hardware and software configurations made for initiatives with all supporting documentation to ensure data integrity

Candidates Profile

• 5+ years of relevant work experience (those with less experience will also be considered)
• Experience with building high availability, security and scalability
• Fluent spoken and written English
• Interest in the business domain; only developers who understand the domain will build great products
• Highly motivated and have a strong desire to collaborate in a fast growing team with all its opportunities and challenges
• Degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Engineering or quantitative field
• SQL, R, Python and Tableau
• Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred
