Grainger is looking for a Sr. Data Engineer for our PMO team. The Sr. Data Engineer will develop high-performing data pipelines and products. You will work with SMEs, architects, analysts, data scientists and others to build solutions that integrate data from many of our enterprise data sources. You will report to the Senior Manager, PMO Analytics.

Assemble complex sets of data that meet all requirements

Implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes

Build required tools for extraction, transformation and loading of data from multiple data sources

Build product features to promote self-service analytics

Partner with a variety of team members, including Finance, Portfolio, Product and executive teams, to assist with data-related technical issues, and share insights from the data

2+ years relevant experience

Experience with Modern Data Engineering projects and practices

Experience leading data integration efforts between all data sources

Experience partnering with internal departments (Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, HR) to determine requirements

Experience leading a solution from development through implementation

Experience translating requirements into technical requirements and produce required source-to-target data mappings

Experience with advanced analytics and machine learning

Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and PowerBI

Experience with AWS, SQL, Teradata, or Snowflake (bonus)
