Key Role:

Apply data science and analytical expertise to supporting federal clients in their implementation of data-centric strategy and modernization efforts. Partner closely with a team of data scientist to understand client questions and needs, then dig into their data-rich environment to find the pieces of their information puzzle. Develop algorithms, write scripts, build predictive analytics, apply machine learning, and use the right combination of tools and frameworks to turn that set of disparate data points into objective answers to help federal leaders make informed decisions. Provide clients with a deep understanding of their data, what it all means, and how they can use it. Identify new opportunities to use data science solutions to help customers meet their toughest challenges.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience with Python or R
• Experience with developing solutions and integrating, extending, and contributing to open source software
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including using Excel for data manipulation
• Experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis
• Knowledge of the operations research field and statistical methods
• Ability to learn new skillsets and work independently on complex tasks
• Knowledge of descriptive statistics, regression, and classification models
• Secret clearance
• BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with building complex data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) pipelines, including SQL expertise
• Experience in the technical consulting industry
• Experience with deep learning frameworks, including PyTorch or Tensorflow for natural language processing
• Experience with using Tableau to blend and analyze data from various sources
• Experience with Big Data processing frameworks, including Spark
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including communicating information to a senior executive audience
• MA or MS degree in Mathematics, Statistics, CS, or Data Analytics
