Job Description


We are looking for a Junior Research Engineer that will define the novel protocols/algorithms to help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action.

They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations.

They must have a proven ability to drive business results with their data-based insights and be comfortable interacting with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes.


Qualifications


Key tasks:

  • Mine and analyse data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement for product development
  • Transforming data science prototypes to appropriate algorithms and models
  • Develop custom ML and DL models and algorithms to apply to data sets
  • Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes
  • Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes

Requirements

Key skills:

  • Bachelor or Master degree from Computer science, Data science, AI, Mathematics, Statistics and other relative disciplines
  • 2+ years of experience after Bachelor degree or 0-1 years of experience after Master degree in data science, machine learning and deep learning
  • Experience using Python to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
  • Understand ML/DL knowledge: decision trees, clustering, CNN, LSTM, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of pouplar ML and DL libraries: Tensorflow/Keras (or Torch), Sklearn, Xgboost,…
  • Basic understanding to Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams

Optional skills:

  • Knowledge of popular cloud infrastructure: Google Cloud …
  • Popular ML knowledges: Bayesian statistical modelling, clustering, decision trees, boosting, artificial neural networks, etc.
  • Computer Vision toolkits: Opencv, Yolo,….
  • NLP toolkits: Spacy, NLTK, Huggingface Transformers, …
