Your role

we are looking for someone who can:

• design, develop and maintain / support advanced ETL pipelines on Big Data and Azure cloud technologies to ingest & integrate data coming from multiple sources and make it ready for analytics, data science business needs.
• convert complex analytic and reporting requirements into beautifully simple solutions
• make sure the end user of the Data, whether it be an Analyst, Data Scientist, or an executive, can get accurate Data from which the business can make insightful decisions
• produce optimized dimensional database designs to support hundreds of users querying millions of transactions at performance ranging from minutes down to sub-second
• build the next generation platform using the latest Cloud-based technology
• contribute to the end-2-end software development lifecycle
  

Your team

You will be part of Smart Marketing IT team based in Pune, India. Marketing team is accountable for delivery of the marketing capabilities via enterprise platform to power programmatic, data-driven relationship deepening campaigns which aim to boost our marketing productivity, increase conversion rates, and orchestrate connected personalized digital experiences across multiple channels and touch points for clients.

Your expertise

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering and 5+ years of experience in cloud technologies
• ability to work across structured, semi-structured and unstructured data, extracting information and identifying linkages across disparate data sets
• hands on experience with at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Scala
• experience of working with traditional data warehousing, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Devops, Azure storage services, Azure data services and equivalent technologies
• advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases. experience in at least two database technology such as:
• traditional RDBMS (Postgres, Oracle, MS SQL Server)
• noSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Neo4J, CosmosDB, Gremlin)
• proficient at working with large and complex code bases using Github, Gitflow, Fork/Pull Model and CI/CD
• experience in Distributed Processing using Databricks (preferred) or Apache Spark
• understanding of Information Security principles to ensure compliant handling and management of data
• good to have experience with ETL tool like Azure Data Factory, Alteryx etc and Data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau or any other BI tool
• having experience to design OLAP cube and implementation is an added advantage
• working experience in Agile methodologies (SCRUM, XP, Kanban)
• ability to clearly communicate complex solutions
