Data Scientist (Leading FMCG Retail Business)

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing, encouraging, and inspiring a data science team.
• Using big data to identify chances to solve business problems and achieve results.
• To drive advanced data analytics deliverables and their commercial applications, work directly with business stakeholders, IT, vendors, and other members of the Group teams.
• Both vendor and internal projects require gatekeeping, validating, tracking, and building data science solutions.
• Best practices in advanced data analytics, predictive modeling, and other development procedures are being implemented.
• Assisting with the organization's data culture and procedures.

Skills Required

• You enjoy learning about data science solutions and are able to work with our workflow.
• SQL, Python, R, and other machine learning techniques are second nature to you.
• You have good leadership qualities and can coach your team to increase efficiency.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant data science or advanced analytics experience, preferably in the retail industry is required.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or a similar field from a university.
• Solid understanding and experience with a variety of machine learning and statistical approaches, as well as Python, R, SQL, and other data science software.
• Strong business sense to understand and analyze business problems and needs, as well as a demonstrated ability to use data and practical recommendations to generate business results.
• Self-driven, with a strong feeling of ownership and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced atmosphere.
• With minimal supervision, originate and drive projects to completion.
• Ability to communicate methodology and data insights to various levels of the business hierarchy in a clear and effective manner.
