Data Scientist

NES Fircroft are seeking a number of Data Scientist contracts within the LNG sector to enhance their data and machine learning capabilities. Roles are ranging from mid level positions to senior positions that are more focused on developing the data science function within Australia. Delivery Outcomes:

• Simplify and optimize existing complex processes through efficient Power Platform coding and model restructuring
• Build what-if scenario / sensitivity analysis tools for key business partners to enrich decision making quality
• Teach / coach / mentor team members to build advanced data analytics organisational capability (OC) in the Finance department and wider business unit
• Work in diverse project teams to deliver creative solutions to drive business to competitive targets through digital initiatives

What we are looking for:

• Statistical computer languages SQL/Python/R script with experience working across large structured and unstructured data sets
• Strong data analytic and modelling skillsets
• Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking with an emphasis on solution development
• Strong communication skills to coach/mentor/work with highly diverse teams to achieve creative solutions

We are currently working on live roles with most of the owner operators in Perth across Iron Ore and LNG to provide you with contract work that will not be hindered by the usual roadblocks expected at smaller companies and consultancies.

As an NES Fircroft contractor you will be reporting directly into our client's line managers. We offer the choice to register with us as a PAYG contractor where we handle your superannuation, payments, and tax witholding, or, you can elect to contract with us as a PTY LTD contractor if you have your own business set up and would prefer to invoice us directly.
