Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a
Supply Officer & Data Analyst - Systems & Equipment (d/f/m)
located in
Hamburg with a possible start date of
August 2023 or later.
In this position you will be a member of the Supply Management Upgrades & Retrofit Team.
The Supply Management for Upgrades & Retrofit is an international team based in Hamburg and Toulouse, closely interacting with international suppliers and our internal customers. We are responsible for the on-time and on-quality delivery of parts for the Aftersales Upgrades & Retrofit business supporting the in-service fleet of airlines and lessors.
Our multicultural team is managing a wide range of suppliers across Europe and all over the world. We are looking for a motivated and open minded colleague as a boost for our Team. We are working in a flexible environment with high team-spirit.
The Supply Officer is reflecting the center pillar of the triangle between Ordering (that's us), Contracts (Commercial Procurement buyers) and the Supply Chain Quality Manager. As the job holder you manage purchase orders for on-time and on-quality delivery of the ordered parts.
You will start in the position supported by a buddy helping you to navigate in the Airbus environment and get to know the business. If you are a fresh graduate without any experience and a fast-learner, feel free to apply to change the aeronautics world together with us.
Our location
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

Your tasks and responsibilities
Supply Management
- In this position you actively manage the flow of materials to Airbus as well as to our external customers and find solutions to fulfill customer demands for Aircraft Systems & Equipment parts
- You communicate demands to suppliers, take care of placing and following-up orders, are responsible for anticipating production disturbances and managing recovery plans
- You monitor the supply chain performance, identify areas for supplier development and establish close relationships to supporting functions to implement such improvements
- You play an active role in defining and negotiating logistics processes
- You support our digital transformation journey by actively contributing to automatization developments and business intelligence
Data Analysis
- You transform data into actionable insights for business intelligence as well as operational performance diagnostics
- You perform data fusion, data manipulation and enrichment, data cleaning and data extraction
Desired Skills And Qualifications
- Educated to a Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering etc.)
- Or a completed technical or commercial apprenticeship (e.g. in aviation sector/supply chain)
- You have first experience in basic coding / data analytics and in supply chain / logistics
- You have knowledge and ideally experience in data analytics tools (Skywise, Celonis, SAP Analytics etc.) and SAP/R3 (materials management)
- Experience with suppliers and project management is a plus
- Google workspace (GSuite) is something you ideally have already worked with

- You enjoy working on short term demands in a reactive and proactive approach and think out-of-the-box to propose solutions
- You enjoy working in an international environment with different cultures
- You have a positive and open mindset, are eager to learn and adopt new technologies
- You are a team player and cooperation is very important to you
- You have very good communication skills (technical as well as non-technical) and intuition for customer needs
- Your working method is very structured and you have the ability to think analytically and understand complex situations
- As a self motivated person, you are able to work autonomously
Desired language skills
- English at negotiation level
- All other languages are a plus
Business travels
- The position might involve irregular business trips (1 - 2 times per year) in Europe.
