Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Data Analyst, Service Line will be working with the hospital's lab supply chain team to review operations, standardize processes, and implement procedures necessary for lab supplies.

Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Healthcare, Business and Administration preferred.
  • Two (2) – Five (5) years' experience in data analysis, decision support, finance, including demonstrated proficiency with analytical software and data dashboard building required.
  • At least one (1) year of healthcare experience required, preferably in healthcare operations and analytics.

Job Duties

  • Perform complex data analysis in support of ad-hoc and standing clinical and administrative requests. Capable of building data dashboards from multiple systems/sources.
  • Develop programs, methodologies, and files for analyzing and presenting data.
  • Use database applications and analytical tools: evaluates data quality, applications, and functions.
  • Researches new data sources and analytical tools; contributes to new product development and improvement in product delivery and presentation.
  • Provides a high level of customer service while meeting project and presentation deadlines.
  • Manages standing reports to specification and timelines including: department P&L, OR Metrics, Service Line and programmatic scorecards/dashboards. Formats data/presentations for standing committees including quarterly QA/PI/PIC Committees, Service Line Steering Committees and Surgical Services Executive Committee.
  • Works with various departments/divisions/administrators to develop & understand task specifications. Delivers data products in report/ presentation format, or verbally, to AVP in a detailed oriented and timely manner. Applies knowledge to evaluation, analysis, and interpretation of data.
  • Communicates results effectively to customers. Communicates regularly and effectively with team members and supervisors. Points out system or process problems when noticed; engages the team in problem solving.
  • Promotes an image of a high quality organization through expertise and responsiveness.
  • Other Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.
