The RAPP team in Chicago is an integral part of Team DDB, a multi-agency organization created by Omnicom to develop and deliver state-of-the-art marketing solutions geared towards recruiting best-in-class candidates for the US Army. We are building a modernized platform to target, attract, manage and nurture prospects interested in joining the US Army via state-of-the-art customer experiences, as well as bolster the strength of the mission critical organization protecting our borders. YOUR ROLE:

The Data Enablement Engineer supports the collection, querying and distribution of data across the customer journey, providing technical solutions to fulfill reporting and analytics goals. This person will define, architect, document, implement, and maintain data source details, platform extractions, business logic details, and analytics solutions including platform configuration, data extraction, and script development to facilitate data analytics goals. This role is a strategic and technical role requiring analytics and development knowledge. Knowledge of databases, ETL procedures and tools as well as the US Army government systems is critical in this role.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Understand client marketing automation and analytics data ecosystems
  • Develop SQL, Python, and/or JavaScript code to support the extraction of data, application of business/data logic, and automation of reporting outputs
  • Develop, maintain and optimize process for data transfers using CMD/VBS Scripting
  • Query data to support the verification of integration and pipeline accuracy, while ensuring data quality through audits and automated QA processes
  • Analyze, organize, and combine raw data from different sources
  • Create queries and stored procedures to service data requests from the Marketing Sciences, Project Management, as well as Technology teams
  • Ensure and enhance data quality, efficiency, and reliability

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum 5-7 years of analytics and technology experience
  • Experience with U.S. government systems and databases a must
  • Security + Certification required
  • Able to meet T3 DOD background investigation requirements
  • Able to meet elevated DOD government system access requirements
  • An understanding of ETL concepts including the data integration pipeline, staging tables, incremental loading, SCD, data quality, business logic, and views
  • Experience loading, transforming, and retrieving data from various databases including MS SQL Server, Redshift, and PostgreSQL
  • Experience with authoring and scripting in languages including SQL, Python, JavaScript, CLI, HTML, CSS, and Regular Expressions
  • Experience with cloud services like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services a plus
  • Experience with ETL-as-a-service platforms like Datorama, Fivetran, or Alooma a plus
  • Problem-Solving & Commitment: Ability to solve complex measurement and business challenges through technical creativity, while maintaining a continuing education commitment to remain current on analytics technology
  • Personal Traits: Passionate about problem solving in the areas of marketing, data, analytics, and technology; excellent verbal and written communication skills
