Join us in this role where you’ll help source commodity price data for our internal market price database while supporting our growth journey by optimising and improving our database setup. Through your daily work, you’ll help contribute to the transition to a world that runs entirely on green energy.

Welcome to Risk Models & Analytics

You’ll be part of Market Data where you, together with your colleagues, will help ensure high performance and availability of our Oracle-based market price database that is widely used in our organisation. We work with Oracle-based technologies, like Oracle Data Integrator and APEX, but also use Python and MATLAB in our team. We take pride in making sure our price data is of high quality every day, and you’ll play a key role helping us achieve that goal by applying your data engineering skills and database knowledge. As a team, we love working and finding solutions together. You’ll collaborate with seven bright, honest, and passionate colleagues, who’ll help you grow your talent, while listening to your new and innovative ideas.

You’ll play an important role in:
  • ensuring the high performance and stability of our database holding prices on energy commodities, so our users can reliably access market data when they need it
  • designing and developing modern and customer-friendly ways for our users to access our data, incl. APIs
  • reaching out to and collaborating with Ørsted IT, incl. skilled DBAs, to ensure best possible performance and feature set of our PREP market price database
  • adding new energy commodity prices to our database and developing automation of data flows and processes
  • shaping and driving the way we do Data Engineering in the team.
To succeed in the role, you:
  • have hands-on experience with database systems and data engineering, incl. an interest in version control systems, automated deployment, and healthy coding practices
  • are motivated by building knowledge of the business and our systems, so you can efficiently support the team and our stakeholders
  • like having a mix of tasks between development and operational support
  • are curious, eager to learn, and find it natural to communicate and share knowledge with your team colleagues and stakeholders
  • enjoy working in a team and contributing to an informal, positive atmosphere.
