Job Description

You will lead a small team of data scientists responsible for data analytics, insights, reporting and developing machine learning and AI models. You will be working closely with the Director of Data Science to implement the data vision for the company as well as with various stakeholders throughout the company who are in need of data insights. You will work with your team to overcome technical challenges and gain the most out of the vast amount of data that they collect. You will be responsible for organising work priorities as well as leading the team's sprint work and deliverables, and will be expected to work autonomously having the company's mission and priorities front and centre. This role is perfect for a recent Team Lead or a Senior Data Scientist ready to step into leadership while still carrying out hands-on tasks.

Key Requirements for this Role:

• 5+ years as a data scientist, reaching a senior role
• Exceptional analytical and statistical skills, with a passion for readable, scalable code
• Experience with both R and Python in multi-developer production environments using version control.
• Proven ability to oversee large projects from conception to delivery
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to communicate data topics clearly to stakeholders
• Desire to lead a small team of Data Scientists
• Experience with writing models in Python using standard libraries (eg. pandas, numpy, scikit-learn) and associated tools and frameworks (eg. TensorFlow, Keras)
