Position Overview

As a Claims Data Analyst III, you will play a pivotal role as a specialist within our Claims division. Your expertise will make you a strategic partner, working closely with various departments to understand, assess, and diagnose operations across our business organizations. By analyzing a portfolio of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), you will provide valuable thought leadership on emerging trends to the field organization. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will make recommendations to improve data integrity, business processes, and overall operational effectiveness. Responsibilities

Collaborate with department heads from multiple business units to identify, track, and analyze KPIs that impact the Claims organization, utilizing data from various sources to generate unified reports.

Partner with stakeholders from Actuary, Underwriting, Finance, and IT to identify cross-functional opportunities for process improvement and streamlined reporting.

Develop a deep understanding of the claims organization's workflow and relevant data to generate valuable insights for the entire organization.

Formulate and test hypotheses to study trends, presenting impactful business insights.

Prepare deliverables and collaborate with senior leaders and cross-functional teams.

Work alongside IT resources to test and validate report building, process automation, and dashboard development.

Perform other functionally related duties as assigned.

Occasional travel, approximately 20%, may be required.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a relevant field.

5+ years of experience in the insurance industry, preferably with a focus on analytics.

Previous experience in reporting, data visualization solutions, consulting, or business analysis.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Visio, Power BI, and SharePoint.

Demonstrated expertise in SQL and BI software suites.

Preferred

Prior experience with financial reporting solutions such as Oracle Cloud ERP, Hyperion, or Collibra.

Familiarity with building measures in DAX.
