Our client, a leader in the entertainment industry is looking to hire a Data Engineer to join their team remotely.
- This opening is a 4-month long contract position, with the opportunity for extension or conversion.
This Data Engineer will be responsible for building data-driven solutions to bring music media experiences to hundreds of millions of users and creators by matching fans with creators in a personal and relevant way.
Responsibilities
- Building large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks
- Deliver scalable, testable, maintainable, and high-quality code
- Demonstrate standard methodologies in continuous integration and delivery
- Help drive optimization, testing and tooling to improve data quality
- Work in multi-functional agile teams to continuously experiment, iterate and deliver on new product objectives
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of professional software engineering and programming experience
- Experience with distributed systems such as Hadoop, BigTable, and Cassandra
- Experience with JVM-based processing frameworks such as Beam, Dataflow, Crunch, Scalding, Storm, Spark
- Proficient understanding about data modeling, data access, data storage, caching, replication, and optimization techniques.
