Responsibilities

  • Create the design and implementation of a cutting-edge data environment, utilizing the Azure tool stack, Databricks, and other appropriate technologies to set new standards in data management and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain robust data pipelines to harmonize, optimize, and ensure the reusability of data across the organization, driving efficiency and innovation.
  • Work collaboratively with a skilled team to explore and integrate modern data technologies and methodologies, contributing to the establishment of a state-of-the-art data framework.
  • Ensure agile practices are integral to our development and deployment of data solutions, making our processes adaptable, swift, and resulting in top-notch outcomes..
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data architecture and engineering, providing guidance and support to the organization, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
  • This role is not just about building a data environment; it's about laying the foundation for our company's future, enabling us to lead the way in renewable energy through innovative data utilization and management.


Qualifications

  • A completed university degree in computer science, engineering, physics, mathematics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working within a data environment, with a strong emphasis on Azure tool stack. This should include hands-on experience in architecting, developing, and managing data solutions.
  • Practical experience with Databricks, showcasing your ability to leverage such tools for data processing and analytics.
  • A deep understanding of best practices in data management, including data harmonization, storage, and distribution. This includes knowledge of data quality, data integration, and data security principles.
  • A track record of successfully working in data-related roles, with a preference for those who have led projects or teams focusing on the creation and management of data environments.
  • Familiarity with database technologies, data warehousing, and data modeling, underpinned by practical experience in relational databases and data analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to quickly comprehend complex issues, demonstrating an independent, proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to articulate complex data concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German or other languages is a plus.
