Overview

Topography is seeking a patient focused Data Analyst to help us build Topography’s reporting, data visualization, and patient identification infrastructure. This will require strong communication across the different departments at Topography, the gathering of requirements, and the translation of those requirements into reports and dashboards. We're a growing start up with a strong set of proprietary tools, and we’re seeking a flexible, product minded individual to learn, ingest, and help us to continually improve. The ideal candidate will be proactive and hands on, with vetted opinions on “the right way to do things”, but an open mind to change. Topography is interested in someone who seeks to understand, and then educates on best practices. Security experience is a huge plus, as the role works on building out reports within a HIPAA compliant environment. This is a highly collaborative role, working across both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Our patients are our priority, so this role is more than just executing on building reports-it is about understanding the why to contribute to the greater good of improved patient outcomes. This candidate will have the opportunity to learn how to build and optimize big data pipelines, architectures, and data sets. You will also learn about data exploration, debugging, and performing data assessments, as well as designing and developing.

Key Responsibilities:

Expand on Topography’s reporting layer

Collaborate with stakeholders to determine data sources of truthBuild and maintain reports and dashboards

Perform data exploration and debuggingConduct data assessments to ensure quality and integrity

Design and develop scalable data processing systems

Learn and integrate a growing set of proprietary tools

Provide input on product development with a flexible and innovative mindset

Engage proactively in tasks with a hands-on approach

Advocate and implement best practices in data management and processing

Bring a security-focused perspective, particularly with experience in HIPAA compliance

Collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersUnderstand the underlying reasons for data reporting tasks in order to align with patient-focused outcomes

Contribute to the overall mission of improving patient care through data-driven insights

Minimum Qualifications

2+ years of professional work experience

2+ years of professional work experience in SQL (excluding internships)

2+ years of experience with relational databases

2+ years of experience in healthcare or other highly regulated industry

1+ years of experience with data visualization tools

Preferred Qualifications

1+ years of experience with cloud-based infrastructure

1+ years of experience with Python1+ years of experience with healthcare data
