Graebel is seeking a Technical Analyst to join the Data Services Team to identify, validate, and execute analytics-oriented projects to improve business performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with a variety of stakeholders on multiple concurrent projects, gathering requirements, and writing user stories.
- Performing ad hoc analyses in Excel.
- Contributing to the development lifecycle
- Deploying new processes, procedures, and reports.
- Creating reporting for decision-makers in the business.
- Designing processes around data accuracy, system synchronization and workflow visibility, and supporting the execution by troubleshooting process deviations and collaborating with IT to resolve issues.
Required Skills
- Experience gathering requirements from several stakeholders on multiple concurrent projects simultaneously
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex challenges, and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to take knowledge from a technical person and relay it back to the business, and vice versa
- Medium to High level SQL skills
- Experience in a Cloud Based Data Warehousing platform, ideally Synapse
- Experience working in a development lifecycle, defining requirements, checking in code, testing, staging, and production
- Highly motivated goal-oriented self-starter
- Adaptable/Flexible: Being open to change (positive or negative) in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations in a high-paced environment with changing needs
- Expertise in advanced analytics, statistics, data science, or a related area
- Working knowledge of Git and GitHub
Required Experience
Education: Bachelors degree in IT, Economics, Computer Science or Engineering preferred
Knowledge/Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, etc.
- Experience in a Cloud Based Data Warehousing platform, ideally Synapse
- Experience with data management disciplines including data governance, data architecture, data modeling, data storage, data security, data integration, and data quality
