Key responsibilities:
  • You will be part of the Global Sourcing team and you will own the Sourcing portfolio of analytics solutions. Sourcing is composed of various stakeholders interacting with each other like buyers (ingredient and indirect, commodities market analysts, sustainability and finance specialists) all using related information from a different angle.
  • You will lead and support data architecture, data modeling, data integration, and data governance on Microsoft Azure and other platforms.
  • You will be responsible for the existing infrastructure created by the Analyst team, support us in migrating it to new infrastructure (rom on-premise/tableau to Microsoft Azure cloud/PowerBI), and implement simple procedures to guarantee good practice and continuous improvement.
  • As the infrastructure guardian, you are also responsible for optimizing the performance, maintaining and/or suggesting to replace obsolete data/viz in the infrastructure.
  • You will interact with stakeholders to understand their data demand, discuss prioritization, turn it into the design and support them in developing their analytics solutions. The tasks will include designing solutions, sourcing data from various internal transactional systems (SAP ERP/BW, MS SQL, Oracle DB) but also external systems (free, web scraping or subscription - via API, excel VBA, python) and the most important connect those data in a meaningful and efficient way for the users to create their dashboards themselves.
  • You will be responsible for suggesting and implementing various training allowing analysts and specialists to be up to date in using systems at their best (Power BI, Python, QGIS…).
  • You will play a role in some project development with start-ups testing new approaches, machine learning, etc.
  • You will follow the latest trends in Analytics and stay up-to-date with Analytics knowledge to help the organization set the right priorities.

About you:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, and Mathematics preferred.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Analytics application development with the Microsoft Azure platform (Data lake, Synapse, Data Factory, PowerBI).
  • Strong data engineering skills in SQL and Python.
  • R, stata, QGIS are strong plus.
  • Proven experience as a product owner for analytics solutions including basic skills in software engineering (architecture, LCM, integration).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to balance competing priorities
  • Self-driven, flexible, open-minded professional, and proactive team player who ensures implementation towards agreed goals and timelines.
  • Curiosity is a must, as well as attention to detail and continuous improvement focus.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Fluency in English.
