Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our growing team of data engineers, scientists, developers and analysts. You will play a pivotal role in analyzing and detecting trends, reducing regulatory risk and providing insights to partners in Regulatory Compliance and Client Care. You will be responsible for collaborating with product leads, data analysts and data scientists to design, launch and iterate on user-centric data insights use cases.

What will you do?

  • Design solutions which deliver data based insights to relevant stakeholders, simplify user experience and address user pain points
  • Develop analytics strategies and frameworks to monitor trends and risk markers using statistics, metrics and models
  • Regularly conduct analytics to identify patterns, trends and hidden causation and correlation relationships with complaints data
  • Collaborate with data engineers to source and understand complaints data
  • Work with regulatory and level 2 complaint handling teams to test and improve solutions as well as support investigation of complaints patterns
  • Deliver reporting and analytics on complaints and other regulatory metrics to track the success of the complaints monitoring framework.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in data analytics, SQL, data visualization (Tableau or similar), and Python
  • First-hand experience working with popular Python libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and notebook environments
  • Qualitative and quantitative experience, and solid experience with understanding users and informing those stories with data
  • Strong understanding of data and statistics
  • Experience with databases and data structures
  • Professional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to have:

  • Undergraduate degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering or related field
  • Knowledge or experience with detecting external or internal fraud
  • Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, HDFS, Hive)
  • Experience working on an Agile team
