Data Analyst

ROLE PURPOSE

Lead/participate data analytics and data management for APEC commercial team including:

• Design and build BI/data solutions such as ETLs, data warehouses, data mining tools to improve data efficiency;
• Lead/participate digitalization projects to optimize data structure and process flow;
• Structure, maintain & leverage rich & timely data to generate insights and manage dashboards/reports;
  

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop regions analytical capability by design and build BI/data solutions:

• Set up scalable data structures that can efficiently manage big data;
• Develop and maintain ETL pipelines over different data source platforms;
• Define and conduct data integrations with high quality;
• Continually improve the robustness, security and stability of data platform and server environment.
  

Lead/participant to design, build and implement technical solutions/products;

• Work with business experts in projects, lead technical solution research and design;
• Lead in technical solution Prove-of-Concept & development
• Collaborate with cross-function teams for solution testing and implementation;
• Generate/maintain high quality code and tech documentation.
  

Leverage data to generate insights for management and projects:

• Build a network with business stakeholders and data providers, to know about strategic issues and new developments;
• Understand functional requirements and propose effective data solution for projects;
• Lead and support the transformation of business & customer reports to new visualization platform for region and countries;
• Support countries to do the similar transformation and drive data agility culture;
• Provide accurate and objective analysis, observations and suggestions for management and projects;
• Work with data scientists to develop and implement projects within timeline;
  

Data Management & Project Management

• Lead or support Data Factory projects
• Support project/PoC technical research and development
• Provide support to regional commercial team members
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Statistics/Information Technology
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of building scalable and performant data infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge and proven experience with ETL, data warehouse development;
• Strong knowledge on SQL and Microsoft SQL server;
• Strong working knowledge of object-oriented technologies, network, multi-threaded programming and general application design
• Programming skills in C/C++/C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, JQuery or React JS
• Knowledge in client-server architecture
• Good business acumen and able to understand business/project requirements quickly
• Good project management skills. Able to work with different stakeholders and deliver quality result on time
