About the Role

The Senior Data Scientist will be a key part of the team's success to deliver actionable insights and help the journey towards data-led decision-making. As a self-starter, you will extract insights from large and complex data sets using exploratory data analysis, statistical modelling and data science methodologies to solve complex problems.

• The opportunity to help the organisation grow out it's Data Science function and progress to a Lead Data Scientist.
• Frame business problems into analytical solutions and ensure it answers the business requirement.
• Translate data and insights into digestible formats for business stakeholders and automated process/decision engines to consume
• Take accountability for upstream and downstream impacts of any changes you and your team make that may impact a customer, employee or partner
• Experiment with new and existing data sources to assess their applicability to address business issues
• Design, develop and implement optimization, predictive, prescriptive and network analysis models to support operational solutions in areas that improve customer understanding.

Required Experience and Knowledge:

• Experience with a range of languages/tools/datastores that could include: SQL, Python, PySpark
• Experience with Big Data and Cloud technologies, particularly AWS (EMR, Redshift, S3, etc.)
• Deep understanding of statistics and relevant maths, as applied to advanced analytics
• Experience with storytelling through visualisation tools using either Tableau or Python.
