Purpose of position:

- The Business Operations team works closely with the Wind & Solar Operations in budgeting, performance management, and project management and plays a key role in the optimization of RWE’s operational performance.
Essential functions:
- Support the continual development of business intelligence and analytics tools to help the Operations’ organization make better data-driven decisions
- Work closely with global teams in development and implementation of applications used by site operators for capturing and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) and other metrics
- Translate large complex datasets and models for use within business intelligence systems
- Design, document, deploy, and maintain analytical reports utilizing data manipulation techniques to track operational KPIs
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports and performance trends for executive reviews
- Explore opportunities to drive improvements in various fields - production, availability, cost, safety and organizational culture
Qualifications:
- Skilled in data mining, data management and analysis
- Experience working with databases (SQL, Azure, SAP, etc.)
- Knowledge of Python and similar scripting languages
- Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, Tableau or other business intelligence applications
- Ability to maintain high level of data accuracy and attention to detail in data analysis
- Skilled in problem solving and deriving actionable insights from data
- Experience in renewable asset operations a plus
Work Experience:
- At least 4 years’ work experience, 2 of these from the industrial sector
- A Master’s degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, science or business; Master’s degree preferred.
