Data Scientist – Subject Matter Expert

This role will be pivotal to drive our Trade Finance Fraud prevention solutions by leveraging AI & ML, incl. anomaly detection, network analytics & other ML disciplines.

• Understand and apply the strategic architecture design principles and standards
• Understand and apply the Financial Crime Management strategy and standards

• CCIB moved to the New Ways of Working and the delivery is managed in squads lead by the Product Owner and/or augmented by Subject Matter Expert, Business Analysts, Developers, and testers
• Convert Fraud Analytic scope & roadmap into actionable deliverables (incl. User Stories & Verification)
• Analytics tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights for the business users, operational efficiency

• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc

Academic & Professional

• Degree in Software Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related fields
• 5+ years of professional industry experience doing quantitative analysis
• 5+ years of working experience in Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Python/Scala, TensorFlow) with on Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence
• Good understanding of Machine Learning models such as Recurrent Neural Networks, Network Analytics, Regression, Anomaly Detection & Clustering

Skills & Attributes

This Role will be the Product Owner and/or Subject Matter Expert and therefore be a key member of Trade Analytics squad; responsible for business solutioning, management of product backlog and commercialization.

Skills

• Ability to synthesize complex issues/scenarios into easy-to-understand concepts
• Demonstrated analytical ability, problem deconstruction, statistical competency, meticulous analysis skills, data validation, and scientific rigor
• Fluency in a range of statistical data analysis and machine learning
• Strong knowledge on HDFS and Spark
• Strong coding background in either Python or Scala with high-performance, reliable, and maintainable code
• Strong Experience in Machine Learning & AI
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Effective communication skills

Good to have skills

• Holding Quantexa Developer or Business Analyst certification
• Experience in working in a development lifecycle with knowledge on versioning systems (GIT, Bitbucket), dependency management (Maven, Gradle) and continuous integration (Jenkins)
• Experience in managed services AWS EKS, Azure AKS
• Microservices (OCP, Kubernetes)
• Good understanding of Fraud Analytics or Network Analytics
