DATA ENGINEER
Luther Automotive is seeking an exceptional leader to join our in-house Information Technology Development Team. We are seeking a Data Engineer to expand our existing technology platform and continue the development, enhancements, and support of critical web-based business applications and databases. The successful candidate would be one who thrives in a creative and free environment with minimal supervision and who is always looking for new innovations and game changing ideas. We are looking for someone who is disciplined, organized, high-achieving and motivated by problem solving.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a subject matter expert in designing, optimizing, and maintaining databases. They will also ensure that updates don't interfere with workflow, that sensitive data is secure. The candidate will be also working with the Software Development team on various applications. This role will be reporting directly to our Chief Information Officer.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 3+ years’ experience working with databases
- Experience working in the automotive industry is preferred but not required
- Extensive knowledge and experience with Relational Database Management Systems (SQLite, Microsoft SQL Server Management)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with NoSQL Databases (Redis, MongoDB)
- Extensive knowledge and experience with SQL, Python, R
- Extensive knowledge and experience with ETL Solutions, Data Warehousing, and Power BI
- Experience with Azure, AWS S3, Elastic beanstalk, or Cognito
- Experience using Atlassian Products (JIRA, Bitbucket, Confluence)
