We are looking for an Audit Data Analyst to join our team providing value-driven data, technology, and innovation services to Internal Audit and others here at MPC. Through your creativity, skills, expertise, and ability to build relationships, you will play a key role in our digital transformation journey. You will have many opportunities to practice and hone your skills through rewarding project-based experience. On any given day that could include data wrangling, supporting our auditors, coming up with creative visualizations, innovating risk assessment, automation, and fraud detection. You’ll be hands-on with a variety of tools that push the needle in terms of capabilities and will have the opportunity to collaborate with our Analytics Community of Practice.

What You Will Do
- Use a variety of tools, data sources, and analytic techniques to highlight key insights related to risks, controls, trends, fraud, and special projects
- Partner with project teams to capture opportunities for continuous improvement (e.g., automation, continuous monitoring) and develop solutions in pursuit of our digital transformation goals
- Create compelling visualizations to increase the quality of data-driven decision making by Internal Audit and executive leadership.
- Promote the use of analytics, technology, and innovation across the department through projects, training, and mentoring
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years of relevant data analysis experience in analytics, audit, IT, risk management, business analytics, finance, or statistical analysis
- Degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, or other Quantitative discipline preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and project/time management skills
- Self-starter with an ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) concepts for acquiring, cleansing, and combining diverse and disparate data sets preferred
- Experience with tools and technologies including one or more of the following preferred: Microsoft O365 (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate), SAP BI, ETL, Python, R Studio, ML Studio, Tableau, SQL, Azur DevOps, SAP, Oracle, and RPA (e.g., UiPath)
- Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Knowledge of risks, internal controls, and auditing techniques preferred
