We are currently looking for a Data Scientist with an interest and/or knowledge in Optimization. This position is based in Sweden, Gothenburg. As a Data Scientist, you will focus on solving customer problems using techniques from mathematical modeling, algorithmic development and performance tuning as well as taking part in research, design, implementation, testing and maintenance. You will be working in a full cycle development team, active in all phases of product development. Your tasks will require you to combine strong problem solving skills with optimization theory and solid software engineering.

Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and develop new features requested by our clients and/or our portfolio.
Analyze and improve existing code to improve performance and value.
Work with mathematical modelling and algorithmic development.
Assist customer projects and help them tune the optimizer to meet its maximum.
Innovate, research and come with ideas for how to take our products to the next generation.
Test, support and maintain the solutions that the team has built.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in developing complex software applications and algorithmic solutions
Masters’ Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics or other related technical majors is required
Strong C++ and Linux skills with proven track record of industrial product development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Relevant experience in aerospace industry would be highly preferred
Expertise in Complex Combinatorial Optimization, Networks and Multi server architectures, Cloud Technologies, and Scripting would be good to have
Expertise or knowledge in statistical analysis, data mining, machine learning and Python would be highly preferred
Proven track record in developing and delivering customer solutions
Possesses organizational and advanced communication skills (both verbally and written)
Ability to translate business requirements into written functional specifications
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).
