Data Engineer

Eucalyptus (or 'Euc' for short) is a healthcare technology organisation on a mission to deliver high-touch, high-quality care to millions of patients. We have 4 healthcare brands that form the connective tissue between telehealth consults with doctors, pharmacy delivery and ongoing patient care. The Role

As our very first Data Engineer at Eucalyptus, you will

• Work with the various functions at Eucalyptus such as data analytics, finance, ops, engineering and product, to empower insightful and respectful data consumption by Eucalyptus staff and patients
• Build and maintain our data platform (infrastructure, frameworks, integrations) to enable teams to work with data. Our current stack is dbt, Segment, NodeJS services, Metabase, Tableau, AWS Redshift and some GCP
• Build and own data tooling and automated data workflows
• Mentor other team members and people across the business, evangelising the work of Data Engineering
  
  

Experience Required

• Recent hands on experience with SQL and a data programming language such as Python
• Experience with building and maintaining services on AWS or GCP
• Experience in maintaining and scaling a data engineering environment that enables insights quickly with high quality data
• Knowledge of applying appropriate pipelines and ETL processes
• Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with TypeScript and Terraform
• Experience instrumenting analytics events across the backend and frontend
