The Data Analyst III will be responsible capital product management in ECRIs data warehouse; standardizing capital customer inventories to the data warehouse; and, independently manage custom projects and client deliverables.

Essential Functions Statements(s)


75% Product Catalog

  • Perform cross-departmental data analytics and data management for ECRIs capital data warehouse
  • Create and maintain data normalizations internally for cross-departmental workflows and client deliverables in ECRIs data warehous
  • Create or approve release of products in data warehouse as needed by internal or external users
  • Build data warehouse template and manage attributes, including recommendations and KPIs
  • Map products for UMDNS changes
  • Initiate and maintain open communications with all business units regarding Product Catalog data warehouse updates, including Vendor Guide company mergers/acquisitions and UMDNS updates
  • Monitor data integrity and consistency across all business units:
    • Enterprise Product Catalog data warehouse ó UMDNS
    • Enterprise Product Catalog data warehouse ó Vendor Guide
    • Enterprise Product Catalog data warehouse ó Capital Guide market analytics
    • Enterprise Product Catalog data warehouse ó Alerts and AutoMatch
    • Enterprise Product Catalog data warehouse ó Customer Inventory Tool for data standardizations
    • Enterprise Product Catalog data warehouse ó Device Comparison Guide
  • Attend and participate in meetings about organizational changes that affect the Product Catalog data warehouse
  • Participate in Product Catalog data warehouse development; work with manager when upgrades are being developed and deployed, including business validation and regression testing
  • Maintain Product Catalog data warehouse procedures and workflow processes
  • Train new ECRI team members across all business units to learn the intricacies of organization-wide data integration and standardization
  • Show willingness to take on new tasks or special projects as they arise

25% Customer Data Standardizations

  • Independently standardize capital medical equipment inventories with the Product Catalog data warehouse for AutoMatch, Biomedical Guide, and international inventories
  • Authority to approve data standardizations projects and provide the client deliverable to submitting business unit
  • Responsibilities for more advanced projects and custom client reports (e.g., ability to create custom and complex queries of our enterprise and inventory data, repackage our data in different ways to provide client deliverables)
  • Ability to write queries and macros (Access, Excel, or Power BI) to provide data analytics reports and trend analyzes
  • Manage daily interactions with internal and external clients
  • Participate in data standardization tool and API development; work with manager when upgrades are being developed and deployed, including business validation and regression testing
  • Manage the creation and revision of UMDNS terms with the nomenclature team
  • Meet deadlines, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, interact with different departments, and work independently
  • Keep accurate time worked metrics to benchmark data and business units needs and billable hours
  • Collaborate with ECRI Institute personnel by providing information in areas of specialized experience or knowledge

Perform other duties as assigned

Accountability Metrics:

  • Normalize/add at least 750 Products/month in the enterprise database
  • Address all requests for Products to be normalized or added to enterprise database within 1 business day
  • Participate in standardizing 50 inventories; 600,000 assets/year

  • 2+ years of experience in healthcare or related field, having the following skills:
    • Experience accurately managing data, including data collection, synthesis, and analysis
    • Maintaining and organizing accurate data from multiple sources
    • Exhibiting good time management skills in order to meet tight deadlines and ensure successful and timely completion
    • Ability to manage projects and provide feedback to the manager and team members
    • Working independently
    • Collaborating within and outside the department, via effective written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with medical devices and manufacturers strongly preferred


Education:

  • Bachelors degree, preferably in science or English


Computer Skills:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, reporting services, Power BI (preferred)
