About the vacancy
Our client is one of the largest professional certification associations in the finance industry. This is a global, well-known, not-for-profit organization, providing services from 1947. DataArt acts as its primary technology execution and development partner, helping solving challenges our client-facing on its transition from the offline-based service model to the online, computer-based operations.
DataArt serves as a solution provider. Our team of ~100 professionals executing ~20 projects of different sizes and different IT areas running in parallel – and we are growing!
A team of senior Data Engineers, who is creating a new data landscape for the whole IT infrastructure of the company, have a Middle+ Data Engineer vacancy opened.
We hire people not for a project but for the company. If the project (or your work on it) is over you go to another project or to a paid “Idle”.
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of engineering experience, 2+ years working with data in any major cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience working with the Azure Data Platform (Azure SQL, Azure Storage) and/or Snowflake platform
- Solid MS SQL knowledge
- Expertise in SQL and comfortable designing, writing, and maintaining complex SQL-based ETL process
- Experience building batch and micro-batch data pipelines; ETL design, implementation, and maintenance
- Developer experience with Python, NodeJS, C# or Java
- Spoken and written English
Additional Competencies
- Understanding of data warehouse layers, approaches to load data into such layers, and relevant algorithms
- Experience in designing the data platform architecture
- Experience with schema design and data modeling, and analytical skills to QA the data and identify gaps and inconsistencies
- Experience with, Azure DataLake Storage, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions
- Knowledge and experience with bash, and/or other scripting languages
