As Senior Data Engineer - SAP, you will be a key driver in building our digital core global ERP S4HANA platform.
Maersk is on multi-year program to revamp its technology and digital solutions footprint and as part of new strategy, SAP will act as the ‘digital core’ for company’s finance processes enabled by SAP’s latest cloud and S4HANA offerings. Maersk has currently ECC based SAP finance solutions running for Ocean and logistics divisions and plan is to subsume these solutions within revamped green field S4HANA implementations. You will be part of the SAP engineering team which owns solution template, design, configuration, development, testing and deployment of the SAP solution in Maersk Transport & Logistics with focus on data planning and conversion.

Key responsibilities
- Responsible for SAP S4 Hana, Solution Design across all master data objects and transactional data in ATR (Accounting to Reporting), PTP (Procurement to Pay) and OTC (Order to Cash) C&B (Cash and Banking) and Tax processes with relation to profiling and cleansing;
- Work with our Global Data and Analytics (GDA) team to develop data profiling and cleansing strategy and master data governance;
- Establish long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and data standards/governance;
- Contribute to the SAP roadmap in master data area while constantly seeking simplification and standardization of the landscape;
- Work with the programme release management team and our consulting partners to plan approach to data profiling and cleansing
- Prepare detailed data profiling and cleansing plans for each release for the full range of all data objects being migrated ;
- Manage plans through to execution including shaping, driving, co-ordinating activities and providing daily updates on progress against plans;
- Work with business and technical cutover leads to ensure smooth transition;
- As a technical expert, you are expected to act as a centre of expertise in your field, staying abreast of developments in the SAP space and continually upgrading your functional knowledge;
- Work with overall Data Lead in strategy of obtaining data quality rules from the relevant business areas, creating these rules within the tool, and providing ongoing data quality reports from an ongoing data governance perspective;
- As well as managing the Data Profiling and Cleansing team, you would also be expected to assist in the day to day workload where possible;
We are looking for
- Key knowledge and experience of working with SAP Data Services (BODS) and Information Steward
- At least 10 years’ experience in SAP data across multiple process areas and large-scale legacy integration;
- Experience of leading data workstreams in large complex global SAP Projects;
- Experience of working with offshore teams to ensure all activities are undertaken on time and to budget;
- Experience in working with Master data business process/activity owners in understanding business requirement and solution design;
- In depth knowledge of SAP master data management (including controls and governance) across processes;
- Knowledge and experience of Agile methods also very useful;
- Bachelor's/Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering
- Very strong communication and collaboration skills – both verbal and written;
- Structured, highly analytical mind-set and excellent problem-solving skills;
- Highly motivated and work well under pressure;
- An individual who respects the opinion of others; yet can drive a decision though the team;
- Credible with senior stakeholders and able to hold their own in conversations at this level
