About our client

Our client is seeking a data scientist to join their team full time.

They are a fast-growing Ecommerce Company in the Ecommerce technology sector, trying to tackle some of the most challenging problems facing the industry.

As a data scientist, you will responsible for exploring and leveraging their data in order to turn into actionable insights that help push the business forward for their internal team and customers.

Senior management are passionate about creating a data driven culture and have put this as a core objective for the coming years.

There data analytics and data science teams are supporting the business strategy and helping to transform how the business makes decisions.

These insights are helping to improve the product development process.

Which in turn is creating an improved customer experience.

Your Role:

As a Data Scientist, you will be involved in all aspects of model deployment from data collection to modelling and analysing.

You will apply Data Science techniques to identify improvements for the customer experience and other aspects of the business.

Work with elaborate data systems and cleaning the data from several databases.

Use Predictive modelling to identify potential customers and enhance the marketing strategy.

Liaise with the engineering team to apply models into production

Some of the projects you will be involved in:

• Implementing “Tableau” as their business data visualisation and reporting tool

• Building and leveraging CLV (customer lifetime value) and customer equity models and insights

• Strengthening supply side analytics through competitor benchmarking and property segmentation

• Providing web optimisation and analytics capabilities to product domain teams

• Implementation and running of their recommendation systems to deliver the best customer experience.

Your Skillset:

BSC degree in Data Science, Computer Science or similar; Master’s degree beneficial.

Background in statistics, machine learning is a plus but not essential.

Minim of 2 year's experience working as a Data Scientist

Expertise with programming languages such as Python, SQL and R.

Strong knowledge of data visualisation tools, eg. Tableau.

Ability to work independently.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Problem solver with strong creative and analytical skills.
