POSITION SUMMARY :
In accordance with established policies, procedures and service principles, the successful candidate will be responsible to analyze, interpret and provide insights on the performance of our product line. The incumbent will be required to compile data from multiple sources (Voice of the Customer, Voice of the Operations and Product usage patterns to identify opportunities for improvement. In addition the analyst will support the product streams with analysis on process improvement and new product introduction initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
ACADEMIC TRAINING
University Degree in relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years’ experience in combination of analytics, and data science
Minimum 2 years working in a cloud environment, preferably GCP
Advanced knowledge of SQL Language (preferably BigQuery and Microsoft SQL Server)
Minimum 2 years in product performance analytics
2+ years experience in a related industry with the majority in a large tele/cable communications company an asset.
SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Experience with cloud fundamentals
Proficiency with BI tools (eg. Tableau, DataStudio, or Looker)
Must be detail oriented with demonstrated analytical, trending, troubleshooting and problem solving skills.
Ability to recognize and identify data inconsistencies
Strong communication skills, verbal and written. Bilingualism English/French is an asset.
Ability to recommend decisions based on evidence, and support recommendations to senior leadership
Works independently with minimal oversight and technical support from manager
Self motivated with the ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving problems independently while still recognizing the impact of change on others in terms of “change control” processes.
Monitors own work for quality.
Winning customer service attitude and quality consciousness.
Deep and broad understanding of Broadband, Cable, Telecom or Internet industries and technologies required
Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and change to new methods of working as systems evolve
Familiarity with Agile Project Management an asset
