The Senior Data Scientist Role
As a Senior Data Scientist at Persefoni you will be a key member of the Data Engineering Department enabling our customers to achieve their GHG emissions objectives with data-driven insights. You have the skills to gather, transform, and analyze data from a variety of sources and with a variety structures. You’re able to apply analytical algorithms to solve a business problem, but you know that a deep understanding of the data and its origins is just as important. You’re able to apply validation and testing techniques to ensure that analytical results are accurate and trustworthy for decision-makers.
As a Data Scientist, you will partner with a cross-functional team including data engineers, front-end engineers, designers, product managers, and customer success engineers to deliver features at a rapid pace. Successful candidates should have strong software engineering skills, have a minimum of three years of recent professional programming in positions requiring the skills listed below with a preference for Python, Golang, and/or SQL development. Our backend stack is a combination of Golang, Redis, and MySQL while following the Clean Architecture Design pattern. APIs are documented and managed using the Open API framework and maintained in SwaggerHub. Our data pipelines are mainly managed via Databricks within AWS cloud services. All development work is managed via JIRA tracked sprints and Bitbucket Git-flow branch management.
