Data Analyst

As a Data Analyst for Gravis Law, you create models and data sources to help drive the organization. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to communicate via data and help them find meaning in their analytics. You’ll also help bring new firms into the Gravis Law family, helping normalize their data into our systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Compile and model data from disparate systems in our Power BI platform that can be understood and reused across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create/maintain reports and dashboards
• Serve as a “data champion”, working with Senior Managing Attorneys to embrace the use of Key Performance Indicators and help them tell their story with data
• Work closely with Finance and HR to maintain reports critical to quarterly bonus program
• Fulfills unique ad-hoc requests for data analysis projects as needed
• Perform data transformations and migrations from legacy legal systems into Gravis systems
• Ensure that standards for response time to questions and requests are met.
• Develop documentation including: tip sheets, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field (Mathematics, Data Analysis, Economics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, MIS) or equivalent

• Minimum 3 years experience in a data analytics position
• Experience with Power BI is required, including dataset and report creation
• Experience modeling financial data is required, with Xero or Quickbooks experience a plus
• Excellent grasp of developing and modeling key performance indicators (KPIs) for business
• Demonstrable experience with various data technologies, including R and SQL
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional work experience with law firms strongly preferred.
• Ability to patiently explain technical material to less technically proficient users.
