Within SAP’s Intelligent Delivery Group, the Global Center of Expertise (CoE) Technology team translates our customers' needs for business continuity and total cost of ownership into data driven services. We create applications to address these challenges and support our customers to implement our recommended optimization measures. People focus complemented with Data Mining and Data Analytic Thinking is key for our leading-edge service tooling.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

As a Service Developer and Data Scientist you will have the chance to combine very different activities:

• you will support individual top customers for complex technical challenges
• you will support different CoE colleagues while they work on a customer challenges with your expertise from the back-office
• you will design and develop intelligent tooling and leading practices for services to achieve more efficient and predictable outcomes
  

For these tasks, we are looking for passionate and communicative people who enjoy working in a team. In this role, you will experience a variety of challenges combined with a broad technical skill set. You will consult SAP internal and our customers to apply state of the art modern data analytics and Machine Learning methodologies. Since we provide services at our customer sites, business travel will be part of this role.

Our current intelligent tooling uses Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and advanced data analytics to build the standards for predictive and outcome focused services. The scope is across all SAP technology stacks and address mainly the mission critical part of the software lifecycle i.e. continuous deployment and operation.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION

Development skills

• Programming: SQL, ABAP, JAVA, Node.js, python, object-oriented languages
• CI/CD tool suites (git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, Jira)
• Experience with SAP solutions like S/4 HANA, HANA or Analytics, other databases
• Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning concepts and tools

CUSTOMER FACING SKILLS

• Ability to capture customer requirements and translate them into software specifications
• Ability to present complex information in a clear and precise manner; with non-technical audience
• Excellent Presentation skills – ability to create professional presentations, handle proper setup of location, use technical/ visual aid, have adequate body language and vocabulary, proactively engage with the customer and handle questions

Personal skills

• Fluent in English.
• German would be appreciated.
• Master or Bachelor degree or equivalent
  (Mathematics, Natural Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Informatics)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Integrity, excellent team player, self-motivated, passionate and drive for long-term commitment
• Ability to work well in a multicultural and multinational environment
