Your Team
Sizefox is an agile multi-functional team of backend, frontend, infrastructure engineers, data scientists, designers, as well as sales and marketing specialists. We work on a new SaaS solution at Fit Analytics which we successfully released in 2021. We are looking for an Applied Data Scientist (d/f/m) to join us in Berlin and help us develop this product further.

What You’ll Do
- Work on a recently released product, in a multi-functional product team with engineers, designers, marketers
- Actively develop our size recommender system (Python web service), collaborate on other parts of the codebase as needed
- Use thoughtful experimentation to enable data-driven decisions
- Take part in ideation and product development
- Contribute to creating and using additional datasets from both internal and external sources
- Help refine product metrics and their reliable tracking
Ingredients For Your Success
- You define problems, quickly form and test hypotheses, ship solutions, prioritise picking low-hanging fruit
- We are a highly collaborative team: excellent communication skills and high attention to detail will be essential
- Superb problem-solving skills: you structure ambiguous business challenges and turn them into concrete plans
- Strong statistics knowledge (frequentist vs Bayesian, sampling, group comparisons)
- You are confident writing well-tested, reproducible, deployable code
Minimum Qualifications
- Proficient in Python incl. numpy and pandas
- Confident with SQL
- Solid grasp of statistics fundamentals (hypothesis testing, inference)
- Basic understanding of docker, web services, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure (or willingness to learn these quickly)
- Proficiency in git
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a relevant field (applied math, statistics, computational sciences)
- Extensive experience writing data-centric software (hobby projects count!)
- Hands-on Machine Learning experience (scikit-learn, keras, tensorflow)
- Hands-on experience in one additional programming language (Typescript/Javascript, R)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery
- Experience working in Agile teams
