This role will be part of the Data Science Team within V.Group’s ShipSure Digital Division.Key Responsibilities and Tasks1. Mine and analyse data from within our various databases to support the development of ShipSure systems
- Take the lead on analytics projects in order to provide insights.
- Acquire and sort data from a variety of primary and secondary sources and support internal databases
- Clean and sort data as required
- Develop and implement dashboards, statistical analysis, and reports to provide insight about the business operations.
- Work with various internal stakeholders to capture, process and prioritise business needs, transforming them into analytics based solutionsRequired ExperienceProfessional / technical experience.
The Data Analyst will be able to demonstrable good organisational and communication skills, logical thinking and good mathematical reasoning – previous data related experience would be advantageous.
Experience utilising statistical data analytic tools including R, Python, SQL to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets would be useful.
Experience With The Following Is Desirable
- application of statistical and visualisation tools (Dundas BI, SPSS, Power BI, Tableau etc.)
- statistical techniques (regression, properties of distribution, statistical tests, etc.)
- analytics skills and experience in statistical methods (regression analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, significance testing, etc.)
