About The Role
As a Remarketing Data Engineer you’ll play a key position within the Remarketing Business Intelligence team. Within our team we sell in excess of 40,000 vehicles a year in to a dynamic market where the sales performance of our used vehicles can quickly change, so data is a key part of what we do.
A day on the job in data engineering consists of handling data within the organisation, data transformation, and maintaining source systems as we build and maintain our Remarketing Data Lake. Using your data skills you’ll be developing and maintaining our machine learning pricing algorithms and looking for new opportunities to deploy the latest technologies. You’ll be pivotal in the development of the global Remarketing Data Warehouse working with data colleagues from across Europe and from our Corporate centre in Paris.
The Remarketing Data Engineer is responsible for managing, optimising, overseeing and monitoring data retrieval, storage and distribution of data throughout the department. Your role will include forecasting, looking for upcoming market trends and making sense of sales results. Can you calculate how much demand will increase if our EV prices are reduced and establish the best sales channel to market them in for example?
As a strong collaborator, as you seek and identify these opportunities for gathering data, you need to be commercially aware and prepared to work closely with our Marketing and Sales Teams. You’ll also need to coordinate opportunities for collaboration across departments, running and managing data focused projects through to delivery.
As the face of Data, you will be highly visible to your fellow Journey Makers; you must be able to demonstrate:
- Previous successful relationship management
- Ownership of strategic relationships
- Your ability to spot patterns and trends
- Mentor and develop other team members
- Development machine learning algorithms
- Provide technical support for the creation of critical reporting
It is the Data Engineer’s responsibility to ensure that the right data is available to the right people at the right time!

pay zone level B2.
This includes a basic salary of range of £40,000 to £45,000, plus upto £4,600 bonus.
A company car/allowance (£5,500 per annum) in addition.

About You
You’ll use your passion for data visualisation to deliver meaningful data to maximise the value of our metal.
You may have a computer science degree or similar and have experience of various methodologies - Python, Oracle OBI EE, SQL, Tableau and knowledge and awareness of Machine Learning and AI technologies.
You must be able to build lasting relationships, Journey Makers will quickly welcome you, seeking your support and advice. You’ll comfortably guide, support and mentor your team members in order to upskill and develop the core strengths of the function.

Experience in leasing would be fantastic, however we’ll consider candidates from outside the industry meeting our specific criteria.
