Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Data and Analytics Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Customer Quality Engineer, Master Data Management.
The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the quality of data for our Toyota enterprise-wide customer master. The ideal candidate is an experienced data quality professional, skilled in data management processes, practices, and tools.
Reporting to the Manager, Customer MDM, the person in this role will support the Data and Analytics department's objective to enable data-driven decision making in our journey towards creating mobility for all.
What you’ll be doing
- Understand business requirements and rules end-to-end for those processes and applications leveraging customer data.
- Establish standards, baseline, and measurement metrics for customer master data quality.
- Resolve daily customer masters quality issues such as rejects, rules issues, or failures.
- Independently initiate, design, and develop data management processes to ensure and improve customer master data quality.
- Gather, compile, and analyze data and present reports and summaries in written, tabular, and graphic forms to share information, issues, or propose solutions.
- Communicate business needs, requests, issues to the Steward/Customer Governance Committee.
- Regularly publish customer data quality to all stakeholders based upon set metrics.
What you bring
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Progressive years of hands-on experience in database design, data modeling, master data management.
- Progressive years of data engineering experience with demonstrated ability to design and develop data policies, standards, and rules.
- Progressive years of technical experience writing complex SQL queries and programming in Java/Scala-Spark, Python.
- Hands-on experience working on Cloud-Based technologies (AWS/GCP), variety of RDBMS, No-SQL, and Graph databases.
- Proficient with data tools for managing, testing, and implementing quality rules
- Experience with BI tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) for developing reports and dashboards.
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles, Data Management, and Governance best practices.
- Experience working with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and Meta Scrum with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Master, Architects, and data SMEs).
