Senior Data Scientist (m/f/d)

As a Data Scientist in our Business Unit Cloud Services, you will part of our Data Science team and work with colleagues all around the world in creating IoT based Data Driven Insurance Applications within our in house developed cloud based (AWS) software. You will be spearheading us in generating further functionality that best fits the needs of our customers and ensure that we deliver the highest benefit from our connected data sources.

What will you do?

• You will analyze our IoT related data to provide insights and knowledge extracted value to our customer
• You will experiment with different modeling approaches from the field of statistical, machine and deep learning to provide different solutions of how usage-based insurance in the driving concepts can be evaluated
• Design and evaluate possibilities to create a high motivational incentive to participate in usage-based insurance
• You will create a data product pipeline which will be able to create fast and flexible minimal valuable products and proof of concepts that will be used to fasten the innovation process in our IoT software
• Evaluation quality issues regarding wrong transmitted IoT data or defected data provider will be high on your priority
• Support the development of our IoT solutions by analyzing customer requirements and defining precise user stories and develop first showcases
• Evaluate and consult on future possible IoT scenarios in the insurance filed and help to design the requirements and technology stack to realize them

What experience you should have?

• University degree Master or equivalent in business informatics, computer science, business administration, economics, statistics, mathematics, or similar field with strong quantitative focus
• Solid knowledge in either Python or R and experience in SQL
• Knowledge in common Machine Learning frameworks
• Good understanding on how data can be visualized, and knowledge of how required information can be extracted regarding different business requirements with the usage of different visualization tools
• Understanding in how data can be brought into the required form by transforming, joining, wrangling, adjusting and filtering
• Skillset to understand the characteristic of a datasets by generating information and knowledge through statistical analysis
• Experience in Big Data Analytics Frameworks like Spark
• First Insights in Deep Learning and first experience in its common frameworks
• Ideally first insights in AWS cloud environment and the data science related service stack
• Ideally experience in IoT related data and industries
