As a Data Engineer, you will strengthen our Data Delivery function within the area of Data & Analytics. You have a key role in the success of data product deliveries in the bank. Working in one of our agile Data Delivery teams, you will develop new and maintain existing data integration into our data platform on AWS for Finance, Compliance, and Risk.

You will be developing high-quality and efficient data pipelines on our new AWS-based Data Platform, as an integral part of our “Data & Analytics” team. You collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Data Analysts, other Data Engineers, Business Intelligence developers, and Product Owners to develop features through the Agile Release Trains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support data pipelines on IKANO Bank’s AWS-based Data Platform.
  • Transform designs and requirements into efficient, easily maintainable, and reusable code.
  • Automate as much as possible, from CI/CD pipelines to testing and to data quality.
  • Collaborate with, help, and support team members and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in the Solution Design process.
  • As we strive to work according to DevOps practices, you will share the responsibility with the rest of the team to make sure that our solutions are developed, tested, deployed, and run well.

Requirements

  • Having data engineering experience with a minimum of 2 years of Redshift Datawarehouse development
  • Experience with data technologies in AWS, i.e. S3, Python, IAM, AWS Glue, AWS Athena, Spark, Redshift, Airflow, etc
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills
  • Capable of conceptualizing complex technical issues
  • Ability to understand data from a business context

Additional experience that will be highly appreciated:

  • Experience in data modeling, particularly for Data Warehouses, is highly advantageous
  • Experience in the banking/financial industry is an advantage.

Must have soft skills as a person:

  • Is highly motivated, self-driven, collaborative, result oriented and structured
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)

Good to have:

  • Experience in the technology of our current data platform technologies (Oracle RDBMS and Informatica) is an advantage
  • Experience and knowledge of agile frameworks, preferably SAFe
