SMX is seeking an
Informatica Data Engineer with experience with delivery of data pipelines and ELT/ETL projects. The ideal candidate will have experience or working familiarity with multiple data integration platforms (e.g. Informatica, AWS Glue, dbt, others) and a strong functional understanding of data integration patterns. Prior experience working with AWS Gluey regulated data sets is preferred but not required. Please note that the key responsibilities noted here represent an immediate need, but the key engagements for this role will evolve over time. This position is remote supporting a Boston, MA based team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data de-identification and Compliance: Implement data de-identification and anonymization techniques to protect sensitive and regulated data, and ensure our data handling practices comply with data security regulations and best practices
- ETL Development: Design, implement, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter or other Informatica tools. Develop robust data pipelines for healthcare data, including patient records, clinical data, and claims information.
- Data Quality Management: Use Informatica Data Quality (IDQ) to maintain high data quality standards, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity of healthcare data
- Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting: Optimize the performance of ETL processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during development, testing, or execution
- Collaboration: Work closely with clients, stakeholders and other IT teams to understand and meet the organization's healthcare data needs
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all ETL processes, ensuring best practices are consistently followed, for a variety of audiences
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development, preferably with experience on Informatica
- Familiarity with regulatory data standards and regulations, (e.g. IRS, SSA, HL7, FHIR, HIPAA) is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of ETL/ETL processes and patterns, preferably to include streaming patterns
- The candidate should have SQL experience
- Candidate should be familiar with agile methodologies
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred but not required
