The Client

It is a growth marketing and analytics consultancy with team members based in Australia, the Philippines, Canada, Spain & Switzerland. They work with VC-funded scale ups, PE-owned SMEs and digital teams in large corporates to drive growth leveraging data, personalisation, high-velocity experimentation, and analytics.

They love solving problems, getting stuff done and having a good time doing it. You will be working directly with other consultants, clients and contractors.

The Role

• Design & implement data and analytics infrastructure together with our client’s engineering teams with a particular focus on data flows and single-source of truth architecture
• Build out our internal data and analytics tooling
• Combine many different internal and external data sources (e.g. backend, tracking, CRM, marketing channels)
• Leverage your analytics skills to deliver results and insight to clients across business functions (marketing, sales, operations, customer service)
• Leverage & manage contractors to do your work more efficiently
• Generate competitive insights for our clients
• Coach client teams on the use of tooling, and analytics methodologies
• Choose the most appropriate technologies/tools to solve each problem most efficiently
• Keep your hand on the analytics pulse, evaluating emerging technologies, tooling and approaches

Our Ideal Candidate

• At least 3 years of work experience in a data engineering or related role
• Strong commercial understanding, especially around growth and product analytics
• A great communicator that can translate business problems into technical solutions and convey them to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong SQL-skills—experience with dbt is a plus. We work primarily in PostgreSQL and Redshift
• Good skills in Python (esp. pandas, numpy) or similar; Familiarity with Jupyter Notebook is a plus
• Quick to learn and apply new knowledge
• Highly creative, thinking on your feet and results-oriented
• DevOps understanding (AWS, GCP; especially serverless) is a plus
• Statistics knowledge is a plus
• Basic frontend development experience is a plus
• Experience with Segment.io, Snowplow, GTM, hightouch, census is a plus
