We are looking for a Data Engineer (f/m/d) to join our Experimentation Squad in the Consumer Data Products Tribe.
You will be joining the Consumer Data Products Tribe which consists of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Machine Learning Engineers, and Data Analysts working together on building data platforms, data services and data products to empower decision makers at Delivery Hero.
You will be working on delivering data products on a global scale (50+ countries) and collaborating building solutions to different departments across the Delivery Hero group. You will learn from experienced Data Engineers, and Data science professionals while cooperating with all the members from the Experimentation Stats team. You will get hands-on developing solutions with the newest technologies on GCP, learning how to build python applications to handle large datasets, and contributing to building cloud data infrastructure at scale.
You will get domain expertise on experimentation topics (i.e. A/B and MAB tests) and you will collaborate with other Data Engineers to productionalize data science projects and create data pipelines.
On a typical day, you will align with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to design and evaluate new methods to improve the evaluation of experiments, monitor the quality of the data we produced, writing tooling to improve the work of Data Scientists, create data pipelines, learn and apply the best practices of software development in python. You will talk to stakeholders to gather requirements, expose your work to technical and non-technical audiences.

Your Mission
- Develop and maintain end-to-end data pipelines to serve data science projects with necessary data points.
- Apply the best practices on software development around python to create global services to empower decision makers with relevant insights around the experimentation domain.
- Navigate various data sources and efficiently locate data in a complex data ecosystem (including behavioral data).
- Develop and support data modeling, model quality, and automate test of the quality of data that is served to stakeholders.
- Work closely with our data analysts and data scientists to build data models and metrics, and integrate their code into the data pipeline.
- Collaborate building and maintaining data infrastructure and deliver highly available services to production.
- Learn and set up best coding practices in the squad, ensure the quality of our products and enable them on a global scale.
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related.
- At least 1 year experience writing Python applications using coding standards, patterns, implementing test suites, and comfortably debugging existing applications.
- Basic knowledge of SQL (PL/SQL).
- Understanding of distributed and highly scalable data processing pipelines.
- Experience with version control (Github or GitLab) for development and collaboration.
- Experience using: Docker, Spark, k8s, Bigquery.
- Experience with Apache Airflow or similar technologies.
- Experience working in close collaboration with data analysts and data scientists on delivering data products.
- Experience working with Cloud environments: Google Cloud Platforms and/or Amazon Web Services
- Good understanding of highly resilient cloud data infrastructures in working environments.
