Overview:
The Data Science for the HR Analytics team is responsible to perform complex analyses using a variety of methods including statistical model development and advanced analytics techniques and a variety of sources including Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, and Training. This role will develop analyses that inform HR leaders and decision makers on key People metrics and will deliver insights that drive a deeper understanding of TSC Team Members. This role will own the translation of predictive modeling results to actionable insights that can be utilized across the TSC HR organization.
Relocation Required (assistance provided) | Hybrid - Coming into office 1-3 times/weekly Responsibilities:
- Provide reporting and analytic support for HR strategic partners; create analyses using a variety of analytic techniques and data sources.
- Meet with key business partners to fully explore and frame a business question including identifying objectives, goals, KPIs, decisions the analysis will support and required timing for deliverables.
- Work with data from a variety of sources including databases, internal files, API connectors, and other source locations, creating new datasets to be used for reporting, dashboards, model development or other analyses.
- Develop optimized new analytics; apply process improvement to existing analytic queries and workflows.
- Conduct hands-on analysis of HR and other data using analytical and statistical tools such as SQL, R, Alteryx, or Python.
- Develop , maintain, and improve predictive models using R, Python or Databricks to enhance knowledge of Team Member behavior and experience.
- Develop segmentation analytics such as clusters or decision trees
- Visualize results and insights using visualization tools such as Tableau or other reporting tools
- Communicate results, insights, and recommendations for next steps through oral and written presentations.
Qualifications:
Experience: 3-5 years of analytics or data science experience in HR or other People related focus areas 2-3 years of predictive model development experience
. Understanding of Retail, Labor Economics, Learning & Development a plus
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, Statistics, or Econometrics. Master's Degree prefered. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Other knowledge, skills or abilities: - Proficient in programming langagues such as SAS, SPSS, R, SQL, or Python and able to develop analytics from scratch using these or similar languages.
- Ability to frame business questions and create an analytics solution using statistical or other advanced analytics methodologies
- Experience using Azure, AWS, Snowflake, or another cloud compute platform a plus
- Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau a plus
- Knowledge of common HR Analytic concepts focusing on the lifecycle of an employee from recruitment, onboarding, training, survey response and turnover.
- Must possess high degree of aptitude in communicating both verbally and written complex analysis results to Senior & Executive Leadership
